Navrattan Pour A Floor

Navrattan is a proprietary blend of powders based on geopolymer technology used as underlayment or overlayment for repairing damaged or uneven flooring or for topping rough or spalled concrete. This can be applied over cement or gypsum concrete subfloors from 5 mm thick, providing a smooth and leveled surface. It creates a monolithic surface that accepts a variety of floor coverings, including carpeting, ceramic tile, wood laminate, hardwood, and vinyl.

Unique Features & Benefits

  • No priming and curing required.
  • Highly water impermeable.
  • Forms tenacious bond with the host material.
  • Can accept floor coverings after 2 hours.
  • Can withstand high temperatures.

Pumping Guidelines

Do not begin mixing until the pumping ground people are ready to work. Ideally, materials should be mixed for 2-3 minutes in the mixer and can be poured in the hopper as soon as the nozzleman is prepared to spray. Do not mix for more than 5 minutes of retemper material. Try to avoid delays between gun applications (downtime when the material sits in the hose between applications). Navrattan is a fast setting material that can set in the hose if guidelines are not carefully followed.

Mixing Guidelines (at 30 degrees C) and Application

  • Use about 650-700 ml of water for 5 kg of powder.
  • For mixing use a mixer blade turning @ 500 to 800 rpm. Initially, the mixture may appear dry but DO NOT add more water.
  • After 3 minutes of mixing, it will form a smooth slurry. At this point, you may choose to hand apply or use any kind of spraying equipment.
  • Remember to wash off all the equipment immediately.
  • Do not mix Navrattan when the temperature exceeds 40 degrees C. Increasing the water content more than specified will drastically affect the final properties of the product. Ensure the performance of the product and do not break up individual units into smaller portions.
  • Mix the entire content at one time.
